The river is up!

Hey everyone, the rain has stopped and the river is up. Now is the time to paddle if you are truely looking for a whitewater adventure. At this time (8/16/12 3:30 pm) the river is at a stage of 5.99 ft and has a flow rate of 2,498 cfs. For those of you not familiar with river talk that means the river is moving very fast and is very powerful.

All the rain could not have come soon enough though, seeing that last week at this time the river was only running a little over 200 cfs. This rain should keep the river flowing in good shape for the remainder of the month.

Well I’m headed out for some fun in the whitewater while it lasts, so hope to see you on the river.
